The project

Lancashire Powerboat Racing Club invited AVI Aerial Imagery to capture the excitement of a race day at Carr Mill Dam.

The aim was to create an engaging highlight video that showcased the speed of the boats, the atmosphere around the event and the waterfront setting. The finished content could then be used across social media and for future event promotion.

Our approach

We planned a combination of aerial and ground-level footage around the racing schedule and suitable operating areas.

Wide aerial shots established the course and Carr Mill Dam location, while closer ground-level footage captured the boats, competitors and action around the water. Combining the two perspectives gave the finished video more variety, pace and context than aerial footage alone.

The finished result

The selected footage was professionally edited into a cinematic event highlight reel, bringing together the racing action, venue and atmosphere of the day.

The finished video provided Lancashire Powerboat Racing Club with reusable promotional content suitable for social media, YouTube and advertising future events.
