The project

PQ Silicas required detailed imagery of roof and gutter areas at its Warrington site that were difficult to inspect from ground level.

The purpose was to provide a clearer view of their visible condition and help the maintenance team identify areas requiring closer investigation or attention.

The height and layout of the buildings made ground-level observations limited. Drone imagery offered a practical way to carry out an initial visual inspection before arranging access equipment.

Our approach

The flight was planned around the site’s operating environment and the agreed inspection areas.

Wide aerial photographs showed the roof layout and the location of the guttering. Closer photographs captured visible roof conditions, gutter channels and potential maintenance concerns.

Together, these views provided context and detail, allowing the maintenance team to review difficult-to-access areas without personnel accessing the roof during the initial inspection.

The finished result

The completed image set provided a clear visual record of the inspected roof and gutter areas.

This supported maintenance planning by helping the client determine where closer inspection, cleaning or repair work might be required, and where access equipment would be most useful.

High-resolution photographs were delivered digitally for review and sharing with maintenance teams and contractors.
