The project
EBB Paper needed a clearer understanding of the condition of its commercial roof and guttering before arranging cleaning and maintenance work.
Because of the size and layout of the building, viewing every area from ground level was not practical. Accessing the roof directly would also require additional equipment and planning before the areas needing attention had been confirmed.
Our approach
We planned the flight around the agreed inspection areas and the operating conditions on site.
A combination of wider overview images and closer detail shots was captured to show the roof covering, gutter channels, junctions and other areas that were difficult to assess from the ground.
The resulting imagery provided a clear visual record that could be reviewed and shared with the client’s maintenance team and contractors.
The finished result
The drone imagery helped identify the sections of roof and guttering requiring cleaning, maintenance or closer investigation.
This allowed the client to target further access and maintenance activity more accurately, rather than arranging access equipment across areas that did not require immediate attention.
The completed image set was delivered digitally for straightforward viewing, downloading and sharing.
