Residential Water-Ingress Roof Inspection in St Helens
Detailed drone imagery captured at a residential property in St Helens to investigate the suspected source of water entering the loft.
Project overview
Client: Private homeowner
Location: St Helens
Service: Residential drone roof inspection
Deliverables: Roof overview, close-up water-ingress imagery and repair-planning photographs
The project
The homeowner had discovered signs of water ingress within the loft but could not identify the source from ground level.
A clear view of the roof covering and potential entry points was needed before arranging repairs. Using a drone allowed the relevant areas to be inspected visually without beginning with ladders or wider roof access.
Our approach
We discussed the location of the internal water ingress before the flight so the external roof area could be inspected from the most useful angles.
Overview photographs were taken to show the general roof condition, followed by closer images of penetrations, junctions and other potential water-entry points.
The detailed imagery revealed a redundant aerial-cable entry point where the surrounding material had visibly deteriorated.
The finished result
The location and condition of the cable-entry point were consistent with the water-ingress issue reported inside the property.
The imagery allowed the homeowner to show the affected area clearly to a contractor and arrange a targeted repair, without beginning with a broader manual investigation of the roof.
The completed images were delivered digitally for straightforward viewing and sharing.
